The Powerhouse Reg Protector is the perfect tool to protect your air tank and your regulator. The Reg Protector has multiple uses. First, when you fly and/or have to remove your regulator from your air tank, the Reg Protector screws on to both sides of your regulator to protect the threads from damage. The threaded insert that holds the two parts together also functions as an insert into the air tank itself, protecting the air tank threads as well as providing less opportunity for debris to fall into the tank. Secondly, the cap functions as a tool to degas your tank in the event that you need to empty it. Simply screw the cap on until air is released and leave it there until it is done. You don’t need to screw it on all the way to the bottom, but just enough for the air to release.
